Up to three $10 gift cards for Pinkberry!

Guess what? Pinkberry caters! :) I found out this happy news last week on a trip to this favorite frozen yogurt shop of ours. With the warmer weather lately, doesn't it feel like summer will be here any minute now? On a hot summer day, what's better than to cool off with a delicious cup of Pinkberry frozen yogurt with toppings galore! :) Couples who have weddings in the summer, definitely consider this high quality and delicious treat for your special guests. Yum! :)

To celebrate, well, first our love for the treat, hehe, the coming of the beautiful summer wedding season, and to express our thanks for supporting Red Jasmine Weddings, we are having our first give-away! :) A give-away of up to three $10 gift cards for Pinkberry!

Here's the simple way to enter the drawing. Just go to Red Jasmine Wedding's Facebook page and click Like! That's it! Once you've liked the page, you're in the drawing for the gift card. To add a little incentive to share this give-away and get others to like our page, we are giving away gift cards in a special way! :)

If we reach 50 likes (we are already at 38 right now), we will give away 1 $10 gift card.
If we reach 75 likes, we will give away 2.
If we reach 100 likes, we will give away 3! :)

The drawing will take place May 10th and the winner(s) will be announced on May 11th! I would be thrilled if we get to draw 3 names and give away the 3 gift cards in 2 weeks! :) So go to Red Jasmine Wedding's Facebook page and Like us! Topping the icing on the cake!

Last month I had an awesome time coordinating Carol & Neil's wedding. Carol is my husband's cousin and it was a beautiful family affair. There was so much to love about the wedding, like the dress, the colors, all the dahlias and callas, and of course the plum heels! But one fun detail that definitely stood out was their cake topper! Besides the adorable wooden replicas of themselves, they also included their dog, Rolo! :) Since that time, I've been finding fun ways to dress up the cake! Enjoy!

Blessings

One of my favorite keepsakes for our wedding was our guest book. Seeing the autographs, funny comments, and words of blessings brings back memories of that special day when nearly everyone we love gather in one place to celebrate with us.

Nowadays, the ways for your guests to leave their mark seem to be only limited by your imagination!

Have your guests leave you a note on a vintage typewriter. How quaint and sweet that is!

I love this one where the guests write their notes on a river rock. What fun to read these and display them in the new home!

For an outdoor wedding, have guests contribute to the decor by writing their blessings on a piece of paper and rolling it into a chicken wire frame.

Classic and vintage are these library catalogs which serve as a candy bar and house the library cards on which guests can leave their note.

Feather accents

I recently saw some beautiful and fun feather accents that I think will add romance and whimsy to your wedding day attire!

How about something for the groom? This whimsical boutonnière is perfect to echo your own feather accent! (Image via Pomp & Plumage)

There is much to love about these beautiful peek-toes! They're rustic yet soft, old world and trendy at the same time! And I love that these can stay secret under the wedding dress until a timely reveal. (Image via Jessica Claire)

If you want to go all out with the feather inspired theme, there is of course your dress! How about this fun short number? (Photos by Jamie Beck for the blog Cup of Jo)

Be yourselves!

Do you like vintage? Or are you whimsical? Do you want classic and romantic? Or would you like to push the boundary and forget about traditions? As you embark on the exciting journey of planning your wedding with the one you love, one advice I would give is to "be yourselves!"

Your wedding is about you and your unique relationship. While it's appropriate to take into consideration your guests' needs, it's important to stay true to who you are. What are your interests? What would you say is your style? What is a special place or object or moment in your relationship that you want to celebrate in your wedding? Start with what's important and precious to you and you are on your way to planning the wedding to remember!

Inspired!

Today I met with a group of amazing women who followed their passions to realize their dreams. They have inspired me as a woman, a mother, and a professional. This first Red Jasmine post is dedicated to them...

As I feasted on the croissant from Paris and homemade jam by our perfect host, sipping gourmet coffee made fresh from the kitchen, I listened to these wonderful women share about their diverse background and interesting journeys. Some arrived via more traditional paths and others took various turns and career changes to be where they are today. The more I listened, the more I realized that we are all infinitely more than what meets the eye. We are not just one thing and our professional life is not separate from who we are as women, as people. One thing was clear: Who we are today is a culmination of the experiences and learning all along the way. And who we will be is much more a journey than a destination...

I feel blessed to journey together with these women. As I continue to sharpen my skills, refine myself and my craft, I will remember to offer my whole person to this passion. As I help a busy bride plan her perfect wedding, I will come not only with my professional experiences but also my personal insights as a woman, a wife, and a mom.

So this shall be the start of my blog, filled with wedding ideas and inspirations, tips and chronicles, all written by a real person, with her ups and downs, good days and bad, the woman behind Red Jasmine Weddings...let the journey begin...
